Welcome to Florida Chinchillas!
***UPDATE***We will have our first event/activity in the next few weeks. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail me. Most of us are in central Florida and Jacksonville. Several members will have chins for sale in the next few weeks, so please check back often for updated posts and photos. Don't forget to sign up for the mailing list to receive important information.

Florida Chinchillas is a way for us to connect with others in our state (and others, too!) about chinchillas. Whether you own chins to breed and to sell or just to have as pets, you will find your home here. Actually, you don't even have to have a chinchilla. You just need to love and appreciate them.
There are lots of chinchilla owners and breeders in Florida, and this is a great way for us to get to know everyone and their pets.
With that said, Florida Chinchillas will be a huge success, and here are a few ideas for activities and get-togethers:*Florida Railroad: How many times have you wanted a chinchilla that was 8 hours away? We can do this!
*Buy/Sell/Trade Days: Let's browse everyone's chinchillas and accessories to see what we want and/or need!
*"My Chin & Me" Events: Get together for a day of fun with our chins. This is a great way to meet future buyers/sellers. (We could even have custom T-shirts!)
*Chinchilla Shows: Not sure of the requirements, but I'm sure we could get them down here or even have our own.
*"Looking to Breed" Personals: Maybe my chin wants to be meet yours...
*The Nursery: Have your newborns posted on this site. You might find a local buyer who participates in the railroad!
*FYI: Up-to-date information, Web sites and FAQs about chinchillas.
*Contests: Monthly photo contests for "chintasic" prizes!
